I write a bi-weekly newsletter with sharp feminist takes on history, politics, and society. It focuses on the history of the Middle East and Islamic World, inviting readers to engage with these often-misunderstood topics.

I interviewed CEO and author Daisy Auger-Domínguez about her recent book, Burnt Out to Lit Up, for Lean In's monthly newsletter. 

I edited and enhanced this report on women & nonbinary people's' experiences in the technology workforce for AnitaB.org

I was asked to write this article for the by-invitation-only journal History Compass, which provides accessible overviews of historical topics for scholars specializing in other fields. I have also published several other articles in academic journals and edited volumes.

I have written a variety of guest blog posts, university lectures, public presentations, and other educational materials. I tailor all materials to communicate clearly with specific audiences, whether they be specialists or non-specialists.

I worked with a team of fellow researchers—along with marketing and communications teams—to co-author this flagship report for Lean In. 

I collaborated closely with a a team of researchers and graphic designers at AnitaB.org to create this flagship report. Read the Introduction of the report for a taste of my fiery editorial voice.

My 2020 monograph with Edinburgh University Press explored the lives of minoritized groups in the Medieval Middle East, including women and enslaved people. It won a Choice Outstanding Community College Title in Social & Behavioral Sciences. 

I received two internal grants from West Chester University, one to support my research on medieval marriage and childbirth practices, and another to support my work as a book series co-editor on premodern women.
